During the course delegates will look at the seven key features of effective practice from the DfE Development Matters. They will explore these expectations in relation to their own practice. By the end of the course, they will have an outline of an early years rationale outlining what practice looks like in their schools.
Delegates will have:

A better understanding of the seven key features of effective practice; The Best for Every Child, High Quality Care, The Curriculum, Pedagogy, Assessment, Self-Regulation and Executive Function, and Partnership with Parents.

An understanding of how these weave together and what best practice look like

Guidance in putting together a rationale outlining how the school ensures children receive the best practice in each of these areas.
