Using Deep Dives as a Monitoring Tool: Developing Monitoring to Reflect Inspection Practice
Using Deep Dives as a Monitoring Tool: Developing Monitoring to Reflect Inspection Practice
Description
The processes underpinning a deep dive can provide additional structure and rigour to a school's monitoring and evaluation systems across the full range of subjects. This resource provides ideas and question prompts for each of the six sections of the deep dive process. Suggested sources of evidence, methods of enquiry and sources of evaluation criteria are also provided for each section. The resource can be used by school leaders and subject leaders to complement existing processes or to provide a structure against which to evaluate current practices. It will also help senior and subject leaders become more familiar with the processes and questions typically used by inspectors.
